Tour Guidelines

VIP Darshans: Subject to orders from temple authorities and state government.
Helicopter Seating: Weight restrictions may require passengers to travel on separate helicopters
Flight Timings: Fixed departure timings for each destination. We may adjust departure times due to weather conditions or force majeure
Weight Restrictions: Passengers must submit correct weight details at the time of booking. Incorrect weight submissions may lead to boarding denial without a refund.
Baggage Allowance: Only 1 bag (max 5 kg) per passenger. Large bags are not allow. Excess baggage is subject to a penalty of INR 500 per kg.
Flight Scheduling: Passengers should book Dehradun arrival flights to reach by 3:00 PM or earlier.
Infant Policy: Infants under 2 years (max weight 12 kg) travel free. ID proof/birth certificate required for verification.

Important Information

Additional Costs: Any increase in taxes or levies by government authorities will be borne by passengers.
Yatra Registration: Online registration may be required by the temple authorities. Passengers must complete this before travel.
Clothing & Footwear: Comfortable clothing (e.g., tracksuits or kurtas) and trekking shoes are advised.
Medical Advisory: Senior citizens and those with medical conditions are advised to consult a doctor before the journey.

Chardham Yatra Itinerary

Day 01: Dehradun
This is the reporting day at Dehradun, the main base for the Heli-tour. An extra night halt with dinner and breakfast is arranged by Ether Charters for the passengers to wind down and prepare for the journey ahead.

Check-in: Passengers will be picked up from Dehradun Airport/railway station/bus stand as per arrival timings.
Evening: Mandatory Tour Briefing by the Dehradun team at around 1900 hrs.
Luggage: Duffel bags will be provided during the briefing (Max 5 kg per person).
Weight Check: Each passenger’s body weight will be taken during the briefing.

Day 02: Yamunotri Dham

Departure:
- 0630 hrs: Check-out from the Dehradun hotel.
- 0730 hrs: ETD from Sahastradhara Helidrome.
- 0800 hrs: ETA at Kharsali Helipad.
Arrival: Passengers will be taken to the hotel near the helipad for check-in.
Darshan: Visit Yamunotri Temple for darshan, approximately 5.5 hours round trip (6 km trek).
Sightseeing:
- Hot Springs at Yamunotri Temple.
- Yamuna Mata Temple and Shani Temple.
Note: Kharsali is the least developed destination; hotels are basic.

Day 03: Gangotri Dham

Departure:
- 0830 hrs: ETD from Kharsali Helipad.
- 0830 hrs: ETA at Jhalla/Harsil Helipad.
Arrival: Passengers will be checked into the hotel in Harsil, known for its apple orchards.
Darshan: Visit Gangotri Temple (approx. 3.5 hrs round trip).
Sightseeing:
- Bagodi Village
- Laxmi Narayan Temple in Harsil.
- Nature walks in Harsil.

Day 04: Kedarnath Dham

Departure:
- 0830 hrs: ETD from Jhalla/Harsil Helipad.
- 0900 hrs: ETA at Sersi Helipad.
Arrival: Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath Dham for darshan (approx. 2 hrs).
Shuttle Services: Sersi to Kedarnath (approx. 7 mins flight).
Sightseeing: Visit Triyuginarayan Temple (subject to weather/road conditions).

Day 05: Badrinath Dham

Departure:
- 0600 hrs: ETD from Sersi Helipad.
- 0630 hrs: ETA at Badrinath Helipad.

Darshan: Visit Badrinath Temple (approx. 1-1.5 hrs).
Sightseeing:
- Mana Village (First village of India).
- Aarti/Special Pooja at Badrinath Temple (extra charge).

Day 06: Return to Dehradun

- 0630 hrs: ETD from Badrinath Helipad.
- 0730 hrs: ETA at Sahastradhara Helidrome.

- Passengers will be taken to the Dehradun hotel to collect their luggage and have breakfast.
- Transfer to airport/railway station for departure.

Terms and Conditions

COVID Travel Guidelines: Passengers must adhere to the government’s COVID protocols. Non-compliance will result in boarding denial without refund.
Helicopter Weight Limit: Max 450 kg (excluding baggage). Weight checks are mandatory at booking and boarding.
Overweight Charges: INR 2500/kg for passengers above 75 kg.
Incorrect Weight Penalty: INR 20,000 for discrepancies in declared weight.
Flight Schedule: Passengers must report a day before the scheduled flight.
Bad Weather & Force Majeure: Flight operations may be delayed or cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Required Documents: Aadhar card for Indian passengers, passport for foreign nationals.
Hotel Accommodation:
- Dehradun: Fairfield by Marriott or similar.
- Kharsali: Hotel Holy Yamuna or similar.
- Harsil: Harsil Retreat or similar.
- Sersi: Ghughuti Resort or similar.
- Badrinath: Hotel Vijay Lords or similar.
  Hotels are subject to change, with rooms on double/triple sharing.
- Single occupancy available at INR 45,000/person (tax inclusive).

Add-On Services

Additional services not included in the itinerary will incur extra charges.

Medical Emergencies

Ether Charters is not liable for medical emergencies. Passengers are advised to consult a doctor before the yatra.
Medical Evacuation: Chargeable at INR 1,30,000/hour + additional charges.

Payment Terms

Booking Deposit: 50% of the total amount in advance.
Balance Payment: Due 28 days before arrival at Dehradun.
Card Payments: 3.5% extra for credit/debit cards, 4.5% for American Express/foreign cards.

Cancellation Policy

More than 28 days before travel: 30% of the total cost.
15 to 28 days before travel: 50% of the total cost.
7 to 14 days before travel: 75% of the total cost.
Less than 7 days: No refund.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Cancellation Charges

Badrinath Cancellation: 30% of the tour cost will be deducted, minus ₹30,000 towards flight preparation & service charges, along with utilized services (if any).
Full Tour Cancellation: A full refund will be processed after deducting ₹30,000 towards flight preparation, hotel retention charges, and utilized services (if any).

2. Additional Services

Any additional services availed at any Dham during the tour will be deducted from the refundable tour cost.
No refund will be provided for unutilized services.

COVID-19 Lockdowns & National/State Emergency

If a passenger tests COVID-positive before travel, or if the Yatra is canceled due to government orders or any national/state emergency, no refund will be provided.
Instead, passengers will receive a Credit Voucher equivalent to the advance paid.
The Credit Voucher is valid for one year and can be used for any helicopter tour or charter service by the passenger or their friends/relatives.

Bad Weather & Force Majeure Policy

If the flight is canceled or delayed due to bad weather, technical snags, or force majeure reasons, Ether Charters is not liable for the inconvenience. However, refunds will be processed as per company policies.
No compensation will be provided for additional expenses like accommodation, meals, or transportation due to flight cancellations.

Tour Cancellation Due to Weather Conditions

If the tour does not depart from Dehradun on Day 1 due to weather or force majeure, a full refund will be provided as per the policy.
If passengers wish to reschedule their tour, a fresh booking must be made. The previous booking’s unutilized amount can be adjusted, but any additional cost must be borne by the passenger.

Mid-Tour Disruptions

If the tour departs from Dehradun but is disrupted midway, Ether Charters will propose a revised itinerary within the same package duration.
If flying does not take place for five consecutive days, a full refund as per company policies will be issued.
Priority will be given to new Chardham passengers scheduled for departure over backlog passengers from previous days.

Kedarnath Bad Weather Disclaimer

Due to frequent bad weather at Kedarnath, passengers may get stranded overnight.
In such cases, our team will assist in arranging guest house accommodation, subject to availability.
Accommodation costs at Kedarnath will be borne by the passengers directly. No refund will be provided for pre-booked accommodations at Sersi.

Important Notes for Kedarnath Stay

Guest houses at Kedarnath are basic and may lack amenities such as hot water, clean bedding, and hygiene standards.
Accommodation costs are high due to demand, and guests should be prepared for these contingencies.
Additional night halt charges will be paid directly to hotels in case of an extended stay due to bad weather.

Additional Costs & Important Notes

Extra Helicopter Flying Charges: ₹1,30,000 per hour + UCADA royalty & landing charges + GST.
If wind conditions are turbulent, flights to Harsil/Jhalla may not be operated after 12:00 PM.
If a group cancels their tour midway, Ether Charters will arrange transportation, but the cost will be borne by the passengers.
Government levies or tax increases after booking confirmation will be extra and must be paid before the tour begins.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes related to legality, interpretation, or service performance will be governed under Delhi Jurisdiction laws.
Booking confirmations imply acceptance of the above terms & conditions.
